30 Years of All-on-X Experience

There from the very beginning.

1995 was a watershed moment in dentistry — the year that full arch implant dentistry was introduced to the world. It was also the year Dr. Chris Winterholler graduated from dental school. From the very beginning of his career, full arch implant restoration has been central to his practice.

In 1998, Dr. Chris completed his Nobel Biocare Residency training — deepening his expertise in implant dentistry at one of the world’s leading implant education programs. In 2006, he traveled to the Malo Clinic in Portugal — the birthplace of the All-on-4 protocol — to train directly at the source.

He has been placing All-on-X implant restorations ever since, completing thousands of full arch cases over the course of his career.

"Dr. Chris has been placing All-on-X since the protocol was born. That depth of experience — nearly 30 years — is exactly what complex revision cases require."

The Problem We Are Seeing

Thousands of cases. Beginning to fail.

Full arch implant dentistry has exploded in popularity. Thousands of patients have been treated — by practices of every kind, at price points of every level. Now, many of those cases are showing signs of failure. Broken restorations. Failing implants. Poor bite. Ongoing pain. Patients who invested enormously in their smile and are not getting what they were promised.

01.

Broken or Failing Prosthetics

Chips, fractures, loose components, or prosthetics that never fit correctly. The materials or design may be substandard — or the bite may be wrong, placing excessive stress on the restoration.

02.

Failing Implants

Implants that never fully integrated, have become loose, or are showing bone loss around them. This can happen from poor placement planning, infection, or an incorrect bite that overloads the implant system.

03.

Wrong Bite & Ongoing Pain

Pain, discomfort, difficulty chewing, or TMJ symptoms that began after the All-on-X was placed. Often a sign that the bite relationship between upper and lower arches was not properly established at the time of restoration.

Why Choose Dr. Chris for Your Revision

Expert in every implant system.

Of the thousands of his own cases — as well as those originally placed by other dentists — Dr. Chris Winterholler has become one of the foremost experts in the restoration and prosthetic replacement of All-on-X cases requiring revision. He takes pride in assuming these cases and remedying the problem, regardless of where or by whom the original work was done.

We have worked with every major dental implant system — and many obscure ones. We can identify and adapt to rare implant systems, connect to legacy components, and transition older cases to contemporary methods and materials.

And critically — Dr. Chris is a trained gnathologist who understands the proper bite necessary to restore your smile, eliminate pain, and ensure lasting function. Because sometimes it is not just about the implants or the parts attached to them. The bite has to be right.
